Timber Framed Buildings PDF  | Print |  Email

Timber framing is one of the oldest building techniques, and the fact that so many historic examples still survive after hundreds of years is a tribute to the durability of the design. We follow the tradition of using hand-made mortice and tenon joints to construct the oak frames, then infil with the specified materials, which may be brick, wattle and daub or a styrofoam insulating medium. These panels can then be internally plastered and externally rendered as required.
