Material Matching

As experts in the art of renovation, we pride ourselves in matching materials as closely as possible to the existing fabric of the building. As you can see from our picture gallery, we take great care to achieve a harmonious and authentic finish to all our assignments. The final exterior appearance of any of our projects is important - to the client, the surrounding village or town, the local authority planners and to the general public.

Material Matching

This is because these are the people who will admire the finished product, and, we hope, remember who constructed it! We have excellent relationships with our suppliers, including brick manufacturers, conservatory firms, builders merchants and timber suppliers, all of whom help us to maintain the professional standards that typify our work.

In addition, we keep a large stock of period reclaimed oak beams at our yard along with old bricks, tiles, quarry tiles and stone. Nigel himself spends many hours searching Shropshire, Wales and the West Midlands to find reclaimed materials or reconstructed products. Where new oak is required we use 7 year old air-dried timber from France. This is top quality, specialised timber which has been allowed to dry naturally, so avoiding any tendency to twist, shrink or distort after installation - another example of our commitment to excellence at every level.
